External tools can be used for model control, execution, single and multi-runs, DoE, post-processing and many other tasks.

Modelon Impact's connectivity is based on the commands calling API (Application programming interface) which is a software architectural style that allows calling Modelon Impact commands using the web interface (e.g., loading and executing a model).

Two applications popular in Modelon Impact:

• Jupyter Lab is a web-based interactive computing platform. Visit jupyter.org for more information.
• Web-app (or web application) is application software that runs on a web server.
