ESL Version 2.0

Energy Systems Library 2.0 is part of Modelon's 2026.1 release. New versions of Modelon libraries are sold and distributed directly from Modelon, as well as approved resellers.

New Features

  • Added parameter 'showValuesInDiagram' to model 'Optimizer' to support debugging of infeasible problems by showing the values of key constraints in diagram view
  • Added functionality to disable CO2 port in CCPP_Blend
  • The model HeatPump now supports two options for the COP calculation: 'CarnotEfficiency' and 'CoefficientOfPerformance' - both can be either constant or variable, allowing to define custom characteristics and part-load operation
  • Added file '_TimeSeries_Template.xlsx' to the folder 'Resources/Data'

Improvements

  • Updated documentation of several models
  • Updated parameter dialogs of several models
  • Moved internal parameter 'defaultFlow' into protected section and renamed to '_defaultFlow' to follow convention for protected variables
  • Moved custom function 'Scenario_Data_Conversion' to the Modelon Base Library (MBL) to enable broader usage across Modelon libraries

Bugfixes

  • Fixed wrong modifier in example StorageTechnologyEvaluation
  • Fixed wrong scaling in model HydroPower_simple
