HXL Version 2.10
Heat Exchanger Library 2.10 is part of Modelon's 2023.1 release. New versions of Modelon's libraries are sold and distributed directly from Modelon, as well as approved resellers.
Version 2.10 contains the changes described below.
New features
- Initial support of fin-and-tube heat exchangers. Components and examples are available in the FinTube package. In this initial release, the support is limited to plain, continuous fins, and heat exchangers with multiple circuits must currently be modeled as separate heat exchangers per flow branch.
Improvements
- Fixed a typo in the correlation constants for nucleate boiling. Added fluid dependent coefficient for fluids other than water in EvaporationKandlikar. Modified information to indicate default correlation for use with water.
- Improved convergence of steady-state initialization of plate heat exchangers, by assigning start-attributes to some commonly selected iteration variables that was using zero as default initial guess. No additional parameters needs to be set by the user.
- Fixed a bug where the parameter A_internal_sec was not correctly propagated to the secondary side of plate heat exchangers.
