LCL Version 2.13
Liquid Cooling Library 2.13 is part of Modelon's 2024.2 release. New versions of Modelon libraries are sold and distributed directly from Modelon, as well as approved resellers.
Build 1 (2024-09-15)
New features
- More steady-state/PbS support for existing models including liquid volumes, fan. More info on supported components can be found under LiquidCooling.Information.UsersGuide.GeneralInstructions.PbS.SupportedPackages
- Newly added thermostatic three-way control valve supported for both dynamic and steady-state simulations. More info here: ControlValveTemp_ThreePort
- New system example to demonstrating newly support steady-state models executable in both steady-state and dynamic simulation modes. Found here: CoolingLoop_InternalTempControl
- Newly added Static-Sizing compact heat exchangers for GasGas, LiquidGas and LiquidLiquid variants which allow for on-design/off-design computations by toggling on/off the fixedGeometry parameter
- Added a moist air flow source model and a moist air pressure source model. These models can be used as air source or sink and use relative humidity as parameter/input.
Fixed Issues
- Fixed the missing reference to the local
Medium
media package for an internal component of the LiquidCooling.Sensors.GasVolumeflowSensor. The media package is defined inside the sensor model but was not used inside a sub-component. This could have lead to an error if the top-level media package of the sensor was declared as a medium other than FastDryAir without redeclaring the medium in the sub-component. - Several correlations used default values that are typical for gas and not for liquid. The default values in the correlations have been changed to typical liquid properties. Example models that use gas as a medium were adjusted accordingly to use gas properties.
Improvements/Changes
- LiquidCooling.Pumps.Pump: The pump now has an option
use_velocityReal
to toggle between a mechanical input connector or a real input connector for the pump speed. The new real connector uses Hz as input unit. - Changed the numbering of connectors in the ThreeWayDistributingValve and the ThreeWayCollectorValve. The numbering goes from 0 for the common connector to 1, 2, 3 for the three single connectors.
- Added new oil media: MIL87257
- Changed the use of aggregate mass and volumes in components. Previously, each component introduced new top-level parameters for the mass and volume. This cluttered results. It has now been changed to make the aggregate component visible in the top-level. The previously existing top-level parameters were deleted, and the values can now be entered into the component directly under the same tab
