TPL Version 1.27

Thermal Power Library 1.27 is part of Modelon's 2024.1 release. New versions of Modelon libraries are sold and distributed directly from Modelon, as well as approved resellers.

Version 1.27 contains the changes described below.

Build 1 (2024-02-14)

Fixed issue

  • Fixed a bug in direct air capturing (DAC) cyclic controller and made it more transparent to ease understanding.
  • Fixed a bug in the  Deaerator Model , updated the equation for drain pressure calculation.
  • Removed top level geometry parameters in BedInterface and instead now will be using values from geometry record instantiated as BedGeo in BedInterface.

Improvements

  • Support of ambient temperatures below 0 °C by defaulting reference state in ThermalPower.System_TPL to positive temperatures.
  • Added base record for adsorption in BedBase, which is extended for any bed geometry.
  • Consolidated adsorption column and adsorption heat exchanger into AdsorptionHX.
  • Support of ambient temperatures below 0 °C by defaulting reference state in ThermalPower.System_TPL to positive temperatures.
  • Added comprehensive summary to DeNOx component in DeNox subpackage
  • Added the top-level parameters of n_channels_prim and n_channels_sec in ThermalPower.SeparationProcess.HeatExchangers.StaticNTU to describe the numbers of parallel channels in primary side and secondary side. Note, this model is deprecated, prefer ThermalPower.SeparationProcess.HeatExchangers.EpsNTU as it is a more slim model with the same functionality.
  • Changed medium model for district heating in HeatPump example for higher accuracy.
  • Changed the location of ConstantPropertyWater from ThermalPower.Media.Liquid to Modelon.Media.PreDefined.Liquids.
  • Moved the packages "MicroGrid" and "DIstrictHeating" to the Deprecated package as the respective content is now featured in a much more userfiendly and robust manner in Modelon's Energy System library

New features

  • Addition of Test Bench model for the Benson Separator.
  • Addition of  Quality , Subcooling and Superheat sensors.
  • Added a new Tube and shell Heat Exchanger with 2 phase mediums on both primary and secondary  side .
  • New geometry record for Brick type adsorption bed in BrickGeometry.
  • New type of adsorption bed can be found under MovingBed including its disc sector geometry record and a system example RotatingAdsorptionCO2FromAir which employs this.
  • New table-based linear driving force model with default values from Silica gel material.
